The Bachelor in Retail Management (REM) at CESCOM is a qualification registered with the RNCP at Level 6, designed to train operational managers capable of independently overseeing a point of sale, a commercial unit, or a department.

This programme is ideally suited to the needs of managers responsible for driving the commercial performance of retail units, who are seeking creative, passionate, curious, and motivated collaborators.

The REM Bachelor at CESCOM enables students to be highly operational from their very first professional experience, or to continue their studies towards a Bac+4/5 level. The programme includes lectures, conferences, masterclasses, and business games delivered by professionals who are experts in their respective fields.

Prerequisites

Baccalaureate and Bac+2

Prerequisites:

The Bachelor in Retail Management (REM) at CESCOM is open to holders of a Baccalaureate and, for entry into the 3rd year, to holders of a BTS or any other Level 5 qualification.

Admission is based on application review and, where applicable, an interview.

Students entering the first year of the Master’s programme are required to validate all skills blocks

This programme does not offer any equivalences or transfer pathways.
Further Studies

This Master’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment.

Programme objectives

The Bachelor in Retail Management (REM) at CESCOM is a qualification recognised by the State at Level 6, with the following objectives:

  • Master the monitoring of turnover, gross margin, average basket value, and conversion rate
  • Optimise purchasing to avoid stockouts while limiting overstock, and manage relationships with suppliers
  • Learn to build forecasts and implement corrective action plans in the event of discrepancies
  • Be able to identify staffing needs and onboard new employees
  • Lead daily briefings, conduct individual meetings, and develop the skills of sales staff
  • Manage schedules, allocate tasks, and ensure compliance with employment law
  • Learn merchandising techniques to organise products in a way that encourages impulse purchasing
  • Manage the complementarity between physical retail and digital services
  • Analyse the catchment area to identify the strengths and weaknesses of direct competitors
  • Implement in-store promotional activities or local marketing campaigns to drive foot traffic
  • Ensure a high-quality customer experience and manage disputes or complaints to secure customer loyalty

Admission Procedures and Deadlines

Access deadlines

  • Applications for the September 2026 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2026.
  • Applications for the deferred January 2027 intake remain open until 18 December.

Modalities

Access to our programmes may be initiated:

  • By the employer,
  • At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
  • By a student or their legal guardian
  • Work-study is available from the third year onwards

Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.

If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.
